History
In 1965, Mr. Charalampos Tsaousoglou bought the Xenia Hotel in Corfu, building the Corfu Hilton Hotel in its place, which the Prime Minister at that time, Konstantinos Karamanlis, chose to spend his holidays with his family, due to its prime location and magnificent views. In 1972, the main building and the bungalows of the emblematic Corfu Hilton Hotel were designed by the famous architect N. Chatzimichalis. The sculpture of the entrance was inspired by the famous Greek painter Giannis Moralis, one of the most important Greek visual artists of the "Generation of the '30s" movement.
The hotel operated as the Corfu Hilton until 1996, and it was a great project that surpassed any other hotel in Corfu island, in terms of scale and architectural innovation. Today, operating as Corfu Holiday Palace, maintaining the 70s look with respect to its original architectural essence and its authentic elements, it consists of upscale rooms, bungalows with private pools, and suites with spectacular views of the Mouse Island and the Ionian Sea. The hotel also features the popular and unique restaurants Kukutsi sushi bar and La Veranda di Corfu Fine Dinning restaurant and bar, a Spa Wellness Center, outdoor & indoor swimming pools, a modern fitness center, tennis courts, parking lots, conference and event rooms with a capacity of up to 1400 people, and exclusive beach access via an inclined funicular that is located at pool level. What is more, in the group of "Tsaousoglou Enterprises", you will also find the international Golf Course of Corfu, one of the finest 18-hole Golf courses in Europe.
